The structure, rules, and oversight mechanisms we put in place with the governing body agreed for each deployment before any insurer data connects to InsurerLink.
Industry-Led Oversight
InsurerLink does not set its own data-sharing rules. Before any insurer connects, we work with the council, regulator and participating insurers in each market to define who can access what, under what authority, with what audit trail — so the platform serves the collective interest of that market rather than any single entity, including us.
Multi-Stakeholder Governance
We recommend platform evolution and data-sharing rules be decided by a representative body of industry leaders and regulators, not by us unilaterally.
Compliance Audits
Every access and lookup writes an audit entry, so regular third-party audits can verify that member insurers meet the data integrity and security standards the agreed governing body sets.
Ethical Data Use
We design the governance framework to prohibit use of platform data for:
- Direct marketing or poaching of customers
- Price-fixing or anti-competitive behavior
- Unauthorized disclosure to third-party entities
Dispute Resolution
For cases where data accuracy is contested or access is denied, we build in a formal dispute resolution mechanism defined through the deployment agreement — so that market participants and policyholders are treated fairly and transparently.
